Orange Township Issues
Expand Community Spaces and Services
Orange Township has a larger population than several other Columbus suburbs, yet many of our families have to travel just to partake in public services and spaces not available to them in their own community. I’m committed to expanding our community services and spaces. Families deserve to have safe and beautiful places to stay active and connected locally.
I want to bring a community center to Orange Township. Unlike previous attempts, I plan to accomplish this by utilizing several resources aimed at shifting as much of the financial burden from the Orange Township taxpayer as possible. By utilizing partnerships with private industry and by revisiting the township’s existing financial agreements, we can finally deliver the state of the art recreational space our growing community desperately needs.
Responsible Growth and Development
Delaware County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the country. Orange Township’s population has grown by nearly 80% in just the last fifteen years. Any continued growth must be done responsibly and in the best interest of Orange Township’s current and future residents. We need smart growth with well-planned development, preservation of green spaces, and more walkable communities.
Independent living communities should be developed for our seniors so they can be closer to their families. These communities will allow our senior residents to remain independent for as long as possible.
Good Partnerships
When we invest in the foundations of our community and protect the quality of life we all value, the benefits last for generations. I will work with local, state, and federal leaders to make sure our amazing schools, libraries, and first responders have the support they deserve.
Access to Resources
Orange Township is a place where everyone should feel welcome. By celebrating diversity in our community events, expanding inclusive services, and ensuring fair access to township resources, we can build a township where every resident belongs and thrives.
HOA Limitations
Orange Township is home to many fantastic HOAs. However, in some of these organizations, there is a troubling trend of HOA overreach. I will work to limit what power HOAs have over your rightfully owned property.
