Orange Township Issues
Expand Community Spaces
I’m committed to expanding our community spaces, so families have safe and beautiful places to stay active and connected. I want to bring a community center to Orange Township. Unlike previous attempts, I plan to accomplish this by utilizing several resources aimed at shifting as much of the financial burden from the Orange Township taxpayer as possible. By utilizing partnerships with private industry and by revisiting the township’s existing financial agreements, we can finally deliver the space our growing community desperately needs.
Responsible Growth
Delaware County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the country. Orange Township’s population has grown by nearly 80% in just the last fifteen years. Any continued growth must be done responsibly and in the best interest of Orange Township’s current and future residents. We need to build communities that are well thought out, where families can grow. Independent living communities should be developed for our seniors so they can be closer to their families. These communities will allow our senior residents to remain independent for as long as possible.
Good Partnerships
While fully supporting our outstanding fire department, I will work to strengthen the relationship that the township has with our local schools, libraries, and county sheriff’s department.
